anyone identify this song from the lyrics for me?

Got this dnb track : technicolour - everything is everything and it has a vocal sample which goes like :

each of us is born alone
well welcome to the twilight zone
you can leave with only what you bring
things we cannot see appear
singing songs we cannot hear
and everything is surely everything

It sounds like Nina Simone, but it could be a bloke, definetly from some jazz/funk track, assuming its not original but it sounds a bit too good for the artist to go un named in the song title.

cheers psx, after searching around i'm beginning to think the vocal is original and not a sample.
Radio1 chose the song as some new artist showcase type thing and I'd have thought if it was a sample they would have made sure the original artist was clearly represented on the R1 website, but it wasn't.
