Agreed, that was my first thought before the Runaway Bride was screened; I was worried that she'd just scream and shout her way through the episode.

And while she did shout a bit, I thought it wasn't too bad. I reckon the producers will have toned down her character a bit, as they'll be worried that viewers will think exactly that.

And yes, both Martha Jones and Rose will be making appearances

The BBC Press Office http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice has Doctor Who Series 4 as the lead event in TV Week 15 (5 to 11 April). The show is currently noted as "date and time to be determined". The episodes will be airing on Saturdays, so that means a premiere date of 5 April on BBC One in the UK.

Well just watched the first ep of the 4th series.....

what utter shite....... for fucks sake.. is she the most irritating bint or what.
Crap episode IMO, stupid and lame story, hope the rest of the season is better this.

Best bit was the very end with rose, although that only lasted about 10 secs.

    Yep, agree with N3RO.

The storyline was crap really and Catherine Tate was very annoying and had few acting skills. Hope it gets better.

Every time she "acts" I see one of her characters!

And those aliens were gay as fuck!

I was also expecting Curly Watts to appear any minute!

I can't stand her show as she's not funny in the slightest, and she's just as shit in this too, her acting's as unfunny as her humour!

I thought she was passable in the Runaway Bride, and hoped for good things from her in the series, but if this episode's the start of things to come, I might have to switch off.

It possibly didn't help that I watched the last episode of Torchwood just before watching this, as I've really, really enjoyed that this season.

Hopefully her character will die and be replaced again by Rose, we can but dream!

Must admit I prefer Torchwood to Doctor Who atm. Doctor Who Just seems to kiddi-fied compared to T.

Catherine Tate is an irritating spurg of ginger goo, Shame she didnt get fattied like the other bint on the first episode.

On Johnny Ross they both talked about having just finished filming the series.
