I seem to like all types of scabs.
Every time i get a cut or a graise i look forward to the harvest.
Obviously every time the scab gets near to the 'picking season' i find that i cannot resist getting my fingernails at it in the hope that i can lift a corner up.
Sometimes an early scab is quite soft underneath, and quite thick (when compared to the traditional and seasoned 'ripe scab').
Soft scabs have the advantage of being moist and more colourful (sometimes greenish underneath). Eating pleasure is heightened by the delightful experience when they stick to your upper front teeth during the chewing. Mmmmmm how wonderful. I crave for one right now.
The harder, crustier, ripe scabs also have their place. They are the meatier of the scabs, and pleasure has to be taken by the refined flavour and crispiness. The crispiness lasts only a short while until the saliva mixes with it and they begin to stick to your teeth once more. Heaven.
On the odd occasion i have managed to get an absyss due to the infection caused by premature scab picking. Whilst extremely painful the puss that oozes out when you squeeze the wound is akin to an orgasm. The vile smell is divine, but i have yet to try licking or sucking the puss.
