IMO m8 plastering is a highly skilled job, and a trusted one who does a top job is worth his weight in gold.

Try and get a recomendation from a trusted friend!

As him to do it as a favour then.

Luckily my ex-neighbour is an excellent plasterer that I can rely on if I need summat doing.

Anybody can plaster, but it does take skill to do a proper job.
If you are going to do a lot, why not look into doing a course?
If not then get somebody in to do it for you.
The only way to learn something like plastering is to watch other people do it, ask questions and get lots of practice in.

    royal advice

I tried doin' it and I failed. note: If trying plastering for the first time don't start on a ceiling, like I did. Tw@ting plaster everywhere, most of it where the dust-sheets never met, after my size 12's moved em. Another tip: nail gun your dust sheets to the floor.

Depending on the size of the area your doing you should be able to do it your self use 2 coats of thistle board finish plaster gives you more time to play it and get it smooth. I alsi use a sponge float on the first coat it evens it off easier if your not used to doing it.

And use plenty of clean water splashed on wirh a large paddle brush when polishing it off at the end.
