Sorry u feel that way m8, but as you realise what we have done is nothing to do with quality members like yourself, we are just protecting ourselves against the influx.

Im sure the move is only temporary and look forward to seeing you back!

    All the best.

I can understand the OP's point but for the good of the board it had to be done.It has been possibly the most annoying time i've ever had on here the days after the blackout.People posting on here who've probably never posted on a forum before and seem to think the world owes them a favour and when they where given the kind of answers some of their posts deserved they became offended and abused members.

Of course some genuine members will feel a little agrieved by whats happened but if they where proper members they would understand.I became a vip not because there was something in the vip section i wanted but because i visit here regularly enough for it to warrant the fee with the information it has provided me over the years.

There is so much more to this place than bloody cable, the benefits of subbing speak for themselves. Though it's a shame to lose good members most of them will have other sources for their cable needs and if they don't like it here enough to stick around that's their business and I agree, it's been a pain lately and a nightmare for the staff!

    Roy's my family now Frank.

Pros need to be weighed against cons as I have said before. Free telly? 25 quid a year? Even my daughter can do the sums at 3 years old...

Its always sad to see good members hurting,But for all the years that cable info was free for all ,a lot of people have saved a few Hundred Quid on cable subs,so is £ 25 too much to ask.If you cant afford £25, then where did the 100 plus for the Dbox magicaly appear from?

Everyone is harping on about the £25 quid VIP membership but its not at all to do with the money its the forum and admin covering there ass from outside companies and not for gain.

The £25 quid does help the forum in costs but members will gain vast amount of info, downloads from whats available within the VIP only section.

So dont think that £25 is just for the cable bits but its for costs and other freebies which you can ask any VIP member on here and thay will all say its worth a dam lot more than £25 quid.

    Regards.

I've seen many entire pages on DF lately under new posts with nothing but entries in the new members intro section and it started to annoy me and others I guess.

There are loads of sites out there specialising in cable/free TV/modem hacks so why do people think they need to come here if they haven't found the info elsewhere?

Because they are spamming every fucking forum remotely covering the subject because they are impatient fuckers who want a quick fix and think the more forums they spam, the sooner they'll get their free tv back, and I highly doubt 90% would ever come back to 'donate' a useful post.

I've also noticed on another well used site that they have also put the info into their VIP section so it's pissing a lot of people off tbh.

DF is strong without such a section so it wouldn't be a really great loss if it went all together, but I can understand it being here as well.

-ps: my cable TV's been down most the week so I do use the section, but I'm not going to throw my dummy out the cot if I can't fix it either lol.
