Controls take some getting used but they work nicely once you have mastered them. Just doing training before I head into some actual games.

it seems abit shit to be honest, lol, had a couple of matches and the aiming system is realy crappy, hope they sought that out before its full rls

Aiming system is fine. You have auto aim which is complete crap, but then normal over the shoulder aiming is fine. First person view is very accurate. I have played it now and think its really enjoyable. Will definetley keep me busy till April 29th and probably after that too.

I can't even get the update, comes down around 8 kb/s, left it for 10 mins and it hadn't even downloaded 1%!!!! (P2P). So I try the server, which comes up with an error, I try again......error, and once more...error. I swore like a trooper at the screen lol and turned it off. At this rate I'll not get a chance to try the beta before the end date, fu(king poxy servers.

I got the update quick using p2p but now i cant log in

been downloading the update for the last 6hrs PtoP and its only at 9%...

i wish sony would pull there fingers out and get the crap "free" online service sorted, and thank god its free because theres no way anyone would pay for such a poor service...

Dont blame Sony. Its all Konami's fooking fault. But after playing it for a good 2 hours I think its great. Also im doing quite well.

Sony should take more control of what developers are offering. God know how it will be with gta4.

So far not impressed with Sony's online offering.

BP, is your ps3 hooked up directly to your router/Internet? The second update must've taken me 30mins tops p2p. (Got my ps3 hooked up to my router via wifi, isp is Be)

As for the game itself...i'm not overly impressed. I dunno but first impressions are that the stealth and action of MGS hasn't translated well into multiplayer. I'm finding it fiddly, I'd walk round the corner in regular 3rd person mode and then I'd hold L1 to aim, press triangle to get 1st person mode, line up and then fire -by which time I've been shot in the back of the head :/

Needless to say I don't rank that highly at the end of the game :]

myn was running wireless and i got it fine,not sure how quick it was just left ps3 on when i took dog for walk, come bk n it was done..i do use the p2p one though as i noticed last time the http server is proper crud.

Been playing MGO and sorry but its fantastic. And I don't blame Konami or Sony, it is a BETA so by right shouldhave some problems and its a european beta so the severs weren't designed to cater for America as well so no wonder its struggling.
