How To Get 1080p Out Of My PS3

Hi All,

Just a quick 1 got a Sony 40" Full HD TV 1080p but when playing games it only comes up as 1080i.... is there anything i can do or is 1080i same as 1080p???

GTA shows on box it supports 1080p

And yes i have a HDMI cable

1080i is NOT the same as 1080p, provided all your hardware is 1080p you should get that. I assume it will need to be set in the settings menu on the PS3

it can only be the ps3 settings.

I have a sony bravia 1080p (40W2000) and its always in 1080p

most games cant run in 1080p so switch to whatever they can once you leave the dashboard.
