All my personal details including families details are on file and will be made public to everyone if I do not refund the money I stole or send the goods I promised. My name will be ravaged across the net and the consequences will be severe if I do not sort this fucking mess out.
this might sound a bit thick but what will this allow us to do
am i right in thinking it will allow the box to work for freeview and record with bt broadband but will it allow us to stream high def content to it from a computer
[live=blue1878]blue1878[/live]
It will allow us to do whatever we want with the box... think of a freeview pvr mediacentre with internet connectivity. We could stream from youtube or im sure there are some site that have films etc streamed.
Also we could make it so we can dump recorded stuff off the hard drive to dvd for instance....
... or .. make it do whatever you want it to do? a router? a ftp server , a web server...
Mick
Are win32 apps compatable with WinCE then, or is recompilation necessary?
Very nicely done mate, I too am a fan of your work now, get excited each time I see a BT Vision post Any chance it will be able to access the OD content free?
79p is a bit expensive for a single episode of a series when you can buy the DVD for less in most cases.
@doughboy
The .net CE apps will run on windows, so as long as the functions are supported in CE, so I dont see why not (.net apps only though, as they run on a virtual machine like java)..
The PC is a x86 processor and the BT vision is a mips processor so native code would not run.
@evilsatan
I doubt you would be able to access the OD content, as that would require auth from the servers, a bit like having a valid username and password... its not something i'd be looking to do anyways.
I would think there plenty of other sources material could be obtained from on the internet anyways
It may be possible to decrypt recorded stuff that has already been recorded on the hard drive tho...
Mick
is there any need for this to be professionally manufactured ?
If yes im your man
How are you getting on with this?
has anyone been found with c# knowledge that can help with this?
slowly.... not really found anyone who knows c# yet...
Mick
Hi Mick
I have been watching this thread with interest,
i have a spare one of these boxes laying around and
it would be great to do something usefull with it
good luck with your project
Andy
If at first you don't succeed, then sky-diving's not for you.
unfortunately not.. as previous post....still waiting to see if theres a c# guru out there who can help....
What exactly do you need to do with the c#? I know a little but know a former empoloyee who was well into it and may be able to help if I can tell him what is required.
