slow slow download

hi not sure this is in the right section so please feel free to move is needed!

have a linksy router, poor ISP, and trying to use utorrent, getting a red icon at bottom of utorrent window which says that the router' firewall is blocking the utorrent access to the net.

now if i turn off the firewall and go into the router settings and open a port for utorrent i still get this message, after an hour of connection time i had connected with 47 of 5000 seeds and was running at about 8 kbps with an eta of 1day 5hours on a 700mb download! anyone have any ideas what i can do?

Try looking on here for your router and follow instructions for forwarding ports for utorrent http://www.portforward.com/english/r...outerindex.htm

Aint used torrents in a long time.. newsgroups constantly max out my connection newshosting and newsbin pro to handle em, although there is a lot of other options for server and software, giganews sounds really good but aint used em

PREZZY.... i did forward a port for it! thats why i was stumped when it kept saying that it was blocked! its ticked off in the router settings the port is open to allow access but keeps telling me its not! but i know it is!!!

EVERYONE ELSE....oh my god how crazy is it that you get stuck in the habit of using something!! i joined NZBsRus.com when the offer was posted in biggies not long since and didnt even think to use it!!!! DOH!!!
