    Help pug 306 over heating

my pug 306 has been over heating for a while now, especially when in standing/slow traffic, and have to resort to turning the heating up full blast.

I had the fan switch replaced last year, and I can't see any leaks so i'm going to try and bleed the fooker. I know feck all about cars, but have found out how to bleed a 306, but the guide was for a earlier model. (mine's a phase 3 1999).

anyone got a haynes manual (looked on nzbs)? or can help on where the valves are? - or any other suggestions why it might be overheating.

BTW the heating still works - hot/cold air.

    cheers

    Water pump, sticky thermostat maybe.
Have you removed and back flushed the radiator as IIRC they can clog up?
You can get more kack in the system if the antfreeze to water ratio is weak as the antifreeze also acts as a corrosion inhibitor.

if its anyting like the pug 306 I have the whilst there are no leaks and doesnt use water the core of the radiator near the bottom is fooked, its been like that for 4 years and only gets hot when idle in traffic when its warm, I did go and ee about a recore which was going to cost £90 against the dealer price of £480 to fit a new one, but never had the time to do it or the inclination
