Haze gets a 4.5/10 from IGN

One of the first Haze reviews from a major publication, IGN has now been made available. Sadly the PS3 exclusive from Ubisoft and Free Radical didnt manage to perform well and received a poor 4.5/10 in the review.

IGN's closing comments on the Haze review for PS3:

'Haze was touted as a great PS3 exclusive from a developer well versed in first-person shooter mechanics. While Free Radical does have a solid pedigree, Haze does not live up to the company's reputation thanks to a horrible plot, weak gameplay mechanics and visuals that are truly underwhelming. While playing with friends is enjoyable, not even those are enough to bring this lackluster title around'.

I was certainly not expecting that, especially from IGN. 4.5! Even I thought it wasnt good but it still deserved at least a 6.0. At least this will answer bigbadleo's question on what to get. Of course MGS4 without a doubt. But we all knew that from the beginning.

I think the only hope for the playstation is mgs4 seeing as 360 is getting gow2 which looks amazing. I cant see killzone 2 being any good as the first one was absolute gash!

For an ign game thats pretty low, i knew it was over hyped but i don't think it should be marked this low - there's far worse that IGN have awarded better marks too.

My ps3 remains a great divx player and nothing else for now.

i wont slag it off till i played the full game which i should have tommoz seeing as the demo was from a very early build i think ign are very harsh with there reviews as they only have good marks for the big m$ games just look @ all there past reviews just my opinion before u give it sony fan boy i have all 3 of the latest consoles but sony needs a big kick up the arse

Didn't think demo was particulary shit, wasn't particulary good either, but can't believe how you're all jumping on the ign bandwagon so quickly, it got some decent scores from other sources so why not just wait and see how it fares.
