    Default Carpet tiling loft conversion

Have got my loft done now and once it has been plastered I intend to get some cheap carpet tiles that will last, prob ex event tiles off ebay, and need to know how to make them look OK round the entrance hole. I have a drop down staircase to get in and the floorboards edge this hole.

I can cut them OK to get to the edge but just think it will look untidy so any advice is appreciated.

Try a shampoo and set. Blowing drying the fluff and adding some beads or a sprinkle of glitter works wonders for the overall aesthetic.........that's assuming the question is code and in direct reference to the missus's ringpiece?

Could you not use something like the transition profiles you use when fitting laminate floor, mitre them to make the square around the hatch ?

Even cheaper you could make your own using wooden profiling and stain it to match your wooden stairs.
