    Default photo editing

not sure if this is the right place to post but ill give it a shot. my girlfriend had some photos taken at the weekend in a photoshoot sorta style, i was there and they tried selling all sorts of 'montages', after looking at them all though they looked really good i told my girlfriend on the side they looked really easy to make our selves after we had bought the copyright of the photos and recieved the digital images, what sort of software would i need to pull something like this of? is photoshop hard to use for this sort of work? ie would i be able to pick it up and mess about with it or do i need a book?

this is what she has in mind, the image we have is the one in the centre so i would need to add the bits around the edge.

any help or advice on what sort of software is needed greatfully recived.

    Cheers people.

Yeah, photoshop for this type of stuff.

Once you get a copy there a loads of tutorials including video tutorials on the net where you'll be able to follow step by step instructions on how to create different montages, effects etc. for your photos.

http://www.good-tutorials.com/ is a good site for tutorials.

Also need to make sure you get the tiffs or RAW files if possible. Jpegs not as easy to work with.

lukese check out GIMP mate. It's free (as in beer), and is a cracking program.
There are plenty of sites with tutorials as well.
