Upgrading Firmware

Hey there im getting my self a little lost here, just dug out my psp from the attic and wanted to load the 3.90 Custom Firmware although cant seeem to find a reliable tut on how to do it. Currently i got the 3.10 OE-A on there can i just load the latest firmware on or do i gotta go thru hoops ??

Hoops it is mate unless you have a pandora battery & jigkick memory stick..
I posted the steps you need in here steps mentioned in post 2 and software required in post 4, theres more to do a bit lower down but you need to update this first

think you've gotta go up to 3.52 m33-2 or above first, then up to 3.90

qj.net forums have a good guide if no-one else can lead you on the right path.

No probs bud....
If you get to 3.80 m33-4 you can use the system update on the psp to get to 3.90 m33-3

i went from 3.52 M33-4 to 3.90 M33-3, im thinking of going to 3.95 although not sure what the differences are

Changelog:

* While playing PSone games on your PSP, you can now customize how the buttons are assigned by going to [Controller Settings] > [Assign Buttons] and select [Custom].
* You can now quit Remote Play and choose to turn off your PS3 or leave it on after quitting. This is useful if you are performing a download and want to quit Remote Play, but still want your download to continue on the PS3. Select [Quit and Turn Off the PS3 System] or [Quit Without Turning Off the PS3 System] from [Quit Remote Play] when you press the HOME button on the PSP system.
