    Default Ebay and Paypal fees

Quite frankly these take the piss.

I've sold £1700 worth of stuff on Ebay lately and just checked the fees in my seller account which add up to £105. On top of that the paypal fees have hit £61 and that's with a few people sending cheques instead of paypal.

So for sitting on their arse doing fuck all ebay have had nearly 10% of my cash made. Trouble is no one provides a similar service that has the userbase. There are smaller sites like ebid (who I hear you say) but as it's unheard of no one shops there and you get fuck all money for what you are selling. Wankers

there was talk of Google making an auction site - if they did it they could give eBay a run for their money and paypal as well for that matter

Thats what needs to happen. I hate ebay but only use it because there is nothing else with the userbase ebay has. Ebay/paypal's policies are bollox and they are a law to themselves. Ive had them hold money of MINE on numberous occations for one reason or another and know of load of others who have experienced the same. I don't know how they are allowed to get away with it
