not sure what you mean mate.
Normally if you have the Custom firmware on the PSP all you need to do is put the ISO in the Games folder on your memory card.
Load your PSP and go to the game section should see there
With custom firmware you can turn no-umd on in the recovery menu, correct me if i'm wrong

i was just checking cos the last time i looked into psp firmwares you still had to have an original game in the psp to play the isos.......
if your using l8est firmware change umd to m33 driver in vsh menu then you won't need a umd
will do, just got to wait for the pandora battery to arrive.....thanks
You do need a physical UMD in the slot for "downloaded" UMD movies.
But as others have said not for games, but you can change it in the vsh or recovery menu.
vsh is pressing select on the XMB and Recovery is pressing "R" while the PSP is starting (but not from sleep mode) If you just switch it off you are in sleep mode you have to push the switch up and hold it to be completely off.
you can also do this by holding down select for a couple of seconds, a little menu comes up where you can alter the clock speed and also UMD mode.
I prefer the SONY mode to the M33 mode. Seems to be better conpatability with some isos.
