What PC for £1200?

I've got a Pentium-4 3Ghz with 512MB RAM (Wow), 80GB Hard disk (OMG), 12X CDRW (gasp) and a 17" Philips TFT with a few dead pixels and a buzzing PSU. You can have the lot for £1200 and I'll even throw in a Polish keyboard and a HP optical mouse.

Seriously, that is silly money.... why have you picked that figure? You could buy a top notch custom desktop, and still have change for a decent laptop.

Tell us more about what you want from the PC.. gaming, graphics, video, multimedia in general etc.

Do yourslef a favour and half the budget and have a holiday or somethin, or give me 500 quid.

Personally Breamy I don't rate your choices, there are better processors for a little tiny bit more cash, like the Q9450 with a Yorkfield core, the Q6600 has been around for ages and I certainly wouldn't sling one in a 1200 quid rig.

Cube are a respected company and have some cracking deals if you don't know how to build a system yourself. The above PC could play ANY game that is currently out now in full graphics at the highest resolution.
