Hey all can any1 tell me if i can update a modded xbox 360 to make it backward compatible without it screwing up the console???? i only want to know as my son has old xbox games that he still likes to play and they're not available on the 360 any help/advice GREATLY appreciated

Im guessing you mean download the latest update off XBOX LIVE? If so then yes, as said above, it will be fine.

Thanks for posting guys and yeah i do mean download the latest update from microsoft i was just worried that if i did update it then it would do something to the dvd drive to stop me being able to play backups/copies whatever every1's callin um!

I tried updating from a disc before but I just kept getting "mixed media disc" but no update.
