Even if you can't run/jog, walking is still good (in some respects better than running). I'd suggest you have a 45 minute walk every day, can be quite peaceful too.

Don't do it mate, too much hard work. Just remember it'll take about 30 seconds to eat that snickers, and 15-20 minutes running to get rid of it.

Tuck into some fruit, or some nuts, at least they have decent nutritional value for the calories.

    30 minutes running burns off about 350 calories , 1 Snickers = 350 calories.......

Well you don't need me to tell you that Friday and Sat were shit but sounds like you've got it back on track. I too had a boozey night Sat which threw a proverbial spanner in the works but it's my last for a good while so can get back into a good routine and diet again.

    Keep up the good work.

    hey sanj,

i go running a fair bit have done the london marathon this year and the asics london 10k a couple of weeks back

i cant stress the need for a decent pair of running shoes enough i went to a shop near me where they analised my running gait (stride/movement etc.) and adivsed me what to go for soon stopped any soreness

also try doing most of your runs on grass if possible as it is loads easier on the limbs

What gurucurt says is especially true if you're a bit heavier than the "normal" runners which I know from personal experience.

Not sure whereabouts you are in the mids gurucurt but the coventry half-marathon (october usually) is a nice event to have a go at if you are looking for another target (i'm one of those fat long distance runners mentioned in a different so have done a fair few halfs - massive credit to you for doing a full though, just wouldn't have the time or inclination to do all that training myself! ).
