Default How can I photograph a photograph

    Hello
Has anyone any tips for photographing a photo. Ive got lots of family photos to copy, my scanner takes far to long so Id like to quickly do it on my camera, finepix s7000. I can do it but lighting and reflections are a problem.
    Thanks

you cant do it quicker with a camera, Ive tried and its a ballache. I set up my dslr on a tripod pointing directly down at a book i needed to use photographs from and after hours of pissing about with lighting and then processing the results in photoshop the end rusult was still less than perfect. I didnt really care as they didnt need to be brilliant but in your case id want them absolutely spot on.

Your local library may have good scanning facilities.

Chop them up into different images and print them out. Any good photo editing application will let you do this, even MS Word should let you import and image then crop off what you don't want.

Pointless.... Just print em in batches as you've scanned em on A4 photo print and then use a good guillotine to crop them to size.
