If the camera is pointing towards you then no, it can't catch you (obviously).
They may have finally wisened up to that though, because the cameras that are now on the roadworks at the end of the M3 (Sunbury) are pointing both ways.

Something along the same vein.
I'm a Transport Planner and I'm involved in collating traffic flows etc. A salesman was trying to sell me software last week and was explaining the advantages of their software over others. One of the features it had was the ability to work out how much revenue the software could work out in revenue lost to vehicles speeding! He said it was the police that asked for this feature!
Just goes to show the lame excuse of speed camera's only being used for road safety is a crock of shit!
I understand and accept that some people hold opinions that are different to my own. Living in a free and democratic society, I fully embrace and respect their right to be wrong.
