Default Channel 4 problem on Sat

All three of our boxes (Sky+ HD, Pace PVR3 Sky+ and Thomson DSI-4212C) are experiencing pixellation on Channel 4 (104). It started yesterday afternoon during heavy rain, so we just assumed that it was the rain causing the problem. Now that it's clearer and it's only happening on one channel I'm a little worried. This does not occur on the 994 version of the channel or any of the other regional variants when manually tuned in (which is odd because they are on the same transponder).

No other channels appear to have any problems and the signal meter shows a pretty normal reading.

The pixellation is pretty minor and the sound never goes.

I think that we are in what Channel 4 calls the South region. Has anybody else seen this (bear in mind you will need to be in the same region as me)?
Taken from Digital Spy....I have had this problem over the last 2 days, this is just a heads up if any DFers are experiencing the same thing.

Yes its every programme I've recorded on C4 or C4hd over the last 3 days. Other channels are fine.

pace 9F3002 never had any issues with it before.

Actually I must correct my first post as it was channel 4 and Discovery HD.

I was wondering if the HD needs to be formatted and how to do it with removing the thing. Is there anything in the sky software that does it ?

    Two things to try:

Go to services. Press 4 then 0 then 1 then enter. Brings up the installers menu.

There are two options of interest.

    1. I think is called a Sky+ planner rebuild or something similar - this does some tidying but leaves recorder progs in place.

    2. Full system reset - If 1 doesn't fix issues then try this. THIS WILL DELETE ALL RECORDED PROGRAMMES, LOSE ALL SERIES LINKS ETC ETC

I've found that occassionally 1 needs doing to sort out issues.

might not be linked but I am also experiencing problems with Channel 4.

I have a panasonic 42" viera plasma, and sometimes when on channel 4, then screen goes blank. And the TV thinks its lost the signal (as the HDMI1 text appears at the top). The blank pause lasts about 2 seconds, then the picture comes back on.

This continues in a looplike this - on for 7-8 seconds, then off for 2 seconds (with the HDIM1 text).

If I go to other channels, it doesn't happen.

    Just channel 4.

When I unplug, and let the box reboot.. it's fine again - but it seems to come back a couple of days later.

I will try the planner rebuild first, but just wondered if anyone else is getting this.. it's a tompson box (one of the first ones).
