    Question Nolan N103 Lid

I'm looking for a new helmet to replace my old Shoei XR1000. I like the Shoei but fancy a flip front for a change.
I saw these Nolan N103's in the local bike shop and liked the look of them - flip lid with inner sun visor etc.

I've heard a couple of people say they suffer badly with wind noise over about 30mph though.

Anyone got one and can recommend it, or is it one to stay away from.

Other than that, any recommendations for a flip lid around the £200 mark?

    Cheers.

All flip ups are noisey in my experience mate.

Bugger. Although I would use it mainly for commuting and barely get above 40 due to the traffic so would probably be fine for that. Then keep the Shoei for weekend blasts.

flip lids are very poor, i had one of the best
    a shoei multitec
the hinge goes sloppy after a while, they are heavier, noisy and are basically an open face lid with a non-protective chinbar.

also, they are only certified for road use in the down and locked position so technically you could be done for not wearing an approved helmet if you rode with the chin bar up.

    stick to a full face

Nice one, cheers for the advice.

Just fancied the flip for the crappy petrol stations that want you to take the lid off, but its a small price to pay if the flips are that bad.

    Full Face it is then!
