    Default St Marys Revisited...

While passing this afternoon, I decided to pop out for a walk along the cliffs to St Mary's, and took a few shots here and there. I've done a few shoots here, but most of the time at sunset so it was a little more challenging to get different shots in the bright afternoon sun (ok, not so bright ).

    Very nice.

The colours in the first two look a little subdued... Intentional or not? Or do they need a tweak in curves and contrast?

Great scenes, well seen, well taken.

Thanks Paul... Yes, desat intentional... I wanted to portray the murky mood, and secondly it's a stand again some of the oversaturated shit that has been increasingly posted of late....

Hold on! Are there some flowers in one of NEO's shots?

Superb shots mate. I must admit, I never tire of looking at your 10-20mm stuff. The 3rd one is my favourite of the 3 but they're all great shots.

    I guessed so Neo...

Is that the Leaning Lighthouse of Pisa?

The horizon is pretty straight, so the lighthouse must be wonky...

    Really nice,

That desaturated look really adds to the whole mood. I think I like the second one best.

Bwhahaha.... The trade off of using a stupidly wide-angle with subjects offset centre...

Luckily the flowers were my main focus in that shot and they're straight

I like the subdued colours of the first shot neo and the final shot is well composed too. What shutter speed were you using on that?

Not too keen on the flower / lighthouse shot but that's just my personal opinion.

Only criticism is that the first shot needs a few pixels cropped off the top, there's something odd in the centre top on the image.

Good spot on the odd pixels... Didn't notice them but I assume it's a result of adding the border. Will clean it up later.

I think 1 and 3 were shot at around 2 sec exposure using 6 stop grads. Not got the originals here at work so can't check.

Agree with Peter on this one, 2nd one doesn't match up to quality of other two, which are the mutt's nuts.
