TomTom 7 + Latest Maps - Navigo

Hi DJ,
I was wondering if there is anything new on TT& for AYTOBE

Basically TT7 on the AyToBe is a definite no.

It cannot run on WinCE4.2. I would recommend eBaying the AyToBe unit and buy a Navigo if you want to use newer features and maps etc'.

dont think anyones mentioned this before, but i found some new maps, newzleech link

these v815 ones seem to work on the navigo/win ce

so far ive tried United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_v815.2024 and its working fine for me.
not sure whats updated, but it must be newer.

i got a weird problem on the uk map, if i goto navigate, and it asks to enter city, i cant enter any place that starts with a letter before G

EDIT: nevermind i think i fixed it by deleting the mapsettings.cfg file.

Interesting. Didn't know the v8 maps worked on the v7 program.

Will see if I can get them and give them a go.

I got the version v815 maps working, I had to use Russ's guide to crack the maps because the other method from DJs post wont work with these new maps.

Tomtom v7 will not work on the N96, you need the Symbian v6 version, but it does not work with the internal GPS.

Hi DJOD,
The keygen you provided works fine, must have been me tinkering or something that corrupted it. I have seen elsewhere that people were getting the same errors as me using other keygens and have had to rename Meta.txt to Meta.meta and all sorts. I find that whenever I get a problem, re-extracting from the original zip file solves the problem.

I have a copy of the latest 7.25 Western and Central Europe map which I will try later this week (Got 7.20 version of Western and Central Europe working fine with your keygen and an updated meta . I hear people are having success geting the 7.25 maps working on the navigo. If I get it working I will up the Meta file to Blaggards FTP.

I see there is an updated version of TomTom navigator on the PC Tailor (7.451) so might try that with the 7.25 maps so everything is fully up to date. Has anyone else tries TomTom Navigator 7.451 with the navigo?

my mates going to florida soon and she needs maps. i looked at her tomtom one v4 and cant 'fix' it so updated my navigo for her to take. just need the correct maps.

Method 01.

This is for those who have downloaded my SD card image, and found it doesn't work (lol). Basically giving the "Activation failed" error.

You'll need this: http://www.sendspace.com/file/cft8q1 (someone pliz U/L to Blaggards FTP)

Extract the files to the following folder: C:TTN7

Open the file ttnavigator.bif from the root of the SD card of your unit.

Note the Deveice ID (ten digits)

Right click on the "Edit, Save, Open.bat" file from C:TTN7 folder and choose edit.

Replace the ########## with the ten digit Device ID.

Save and close the file.

Then double click on the same bat file.

A United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-14.dct file will appear in the C:TTN7 folder, just copy this file to the United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-14 folder on the SD card

Put it back in the device and reboot.

Should work fine ;-)

Im just about to kick this off. Fabolous thread and really impressed by everyones posts. Ive hat TT6 on my navigo and was impressed so playing with the upgrade. Quick question though, is there a way to get the volume button on the navigo to sill work? Doesnt seem to work outside turbodog.. Thanks in advance.

Cheers DJ OD. Just following your instructions now re the "Edit, Save, Open" batch file.. I'm talking about the actual vol control on the side? Anyway, will try once TT7 up and let you know..

Job done re activation error. Just put the card back in PC and checked the .bif file again. Unique Id had changed so went through it all again. Bobs your mothers brother there..

I found this very helpful and got TT7 ver 7.450 working first time.

I tried later versions of TT, but have not had much luck with them, so will stick with what I have. I`m using a 3.5" Navigo and find it a nice cheap device.

I have one question that I wonder if anyone can assist with? In TT7 I have found that various speed limits on various roads are incorrect, I have been trying to find how to edit the road speeds, but have not been able to.

I read this in another forum:

On the 2nd screen of the Main Menu, select Map corrections.
Select Correct a map error.
Select Change road speed. <------ I don`t see this in my menu
Select any of the options to select the street.
Select a street.
Select Edit at the bottom-left of the "Change speed for highlighted street?" screen.
Select Continue.
You will see a red line on the map representing the section of the road where the speed limit is to be changed. Select parts of the red line to not include those parts or select roads where there is not a red line to include that part of those roads. You can zoom the map in or out to facilitate making selections.
Select Done.
If the highlighted section(s) are correct, select Yes.
Enter the new speed limit.

Can anyone suggest a method please.
