Link Essential Apps To Protect Against Pretty Much Everything

DISCLAIMER: I don't give a fcuk if you have an AV system that you think is better. You are wrong - accept it. I and many others do this for a living and this is the setup that will stop the lot and fix the lot. If you waste my time posting drivel I will simply laugh at you then make you look stupid. You have been warned. Now read on ....

First the best Anti-Virus package is ESET / NOD32 - get a version installed that updates ok (id post some links but waiting for a newer version that has fixed updates)

There are a couple of others that perform very well and are low on system resources - I will update this list shortly

Secondly - this is THE best app to have running alongside your AV: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware v1.24

Works 100% and is ESSENTIAL. We recommend having these installed before you download ANY apps from ANYWHERE

Just see this thread to give you an idea how great this app is: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware v1.24 Download inc Keygen:
    Code:
    http://rapidshare.com/files/133031422/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_1.23.rar
File is v1.23 but will update to 1.24 and keygen still works. Of course keygen will report as a trojan in Malwarebytes but its a false positive - trust me

Also if you find the trojan has been removed but you lose access to shit like your desktop wallpaper and a bunch of other functions - just install / run dial-a-fix and remove all the policy restrictions. Works a treat and is fast and simple

    Another essential tool is combofix

Always get the latest version from here (this is a fix as opposed to pre-emptive)

also always use this tool it keeps the people who look after us all with there software, updated.

The Rat Rescue Center software i uploaded here (posted below by Raptor) also had a small exe in it for sending sus files to be scanned anyway seeing as there seems to be a lot of keygens in here for obvious reasons and also they are targeted by rat users as we all use them. Here is the scanner exe here for you all to check your files yourselves. It's easy just drag and drop the file you want checking onto the exe (10 mb limit) It will upload it and check it for you but tbh near all keygens WILL show as suspicious.

    RAT Rescue Center

Locate and destroy any Remote Access Trojans (RATs) that may be lurking on your system, and manage startup processes

This ones a bit more complicated ( look at pics 3\4\5\6\7 - it's self explanitory) - but will fcuk most intrisions in the ass

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.. is the shit.. I have used this app for over a year and solved loads of problems on friends and family... I always run this before Spybot and between them gets rid of 99% of crap on all machines I have personally repaired..

Recommend Tuneup Utlities too as the one touch clean app is very good...

    great sticky btw Rap..

This website compares most of, if not all of the anti virus products currently on the market. It tests them on a variety of different area's such as real time detection, False positives etc and collates them every month.

Gives you good idea of how your own anti virus is protecting you against others.

It is also good to point out that most of if not all of the products tested have a free/lite version of the product.

I know this post is years old but it's still a sticky. Are there any new links to software to check for RATS?
