sfx on ps3 cod4

is it my ps3 set up or is it the game but when i play the 360 cod4 the gunshots and explosion have a real rumble to them with a bassy thud

when i play it on the ps3 no matter what i do it sounds tinny and im runningthem through the same speakers so cant see why it should be any diffrent unless its the actual ps3 game itself that just doesnt cut it sound wise .
anyway own both can you let me know put me outta my misrey lol

unless im looking in the wrong place

Settings / Display Settings / Video Output Settings / HDMI / Automatic / (Press X button) / Audio Output Settings / HDMI / Automatic (Mine is set to 7.1) / (Press X button)

Go through Display settings to setup sound and once you set the resolution it will ask you if you want to setup audio

Or go directly to sound settings via ..

Settings / Sound Settings / Audio Autput Settings / HDMI blah blah (if you have it hooked up that way).....
