quick links not working on macs

i know the new post's button is causing some upset, i too miss it. and i know that it is on the bottom bar (on my pc) but i cannot see a bottom bar on my mac using both safari and firefox, and just to add to the confusion, the quick links, and search buttons dont work either, no drop down menu and nothing when you click.

bit of a bummer really considering i spend most of my time on here during the day at work on a mac.

Works fine on my Macs with FF. Not with Safari though.

must be the new version of ff, updated last week. i had to get the url from a pc and create a shortcut on safari. which works for now.

FF is fine - safari isnt

just for the record i'm using firefox version 3.0.1 and there is deffinately no bottom bar and the links at the top of the page dont work
and safari version 3.1.2 with the same problems as firefox.

on OSX 10.4.11 powerpc (not intel)
