iphone - phone lock

Guys,

Can anybody please tell me how I go about removing the phone lock I set up, I know the passcode, but dont want the phone prompting me everytime I power it up, or timing out and putting the lock back on .. its driving me nuts ...

settings>general>passcode lock just enter that and then enter the passcode and turn it off

Dont have that option, I have 3g iphone running v2.1 fw ...

Options I have include

General | Auto-Lock
General | Passcode Lock

When I select Passcode Lock I have the following options

Change Passcode
Require Passcode (Currently set to ask after 15 mins)
Show SMS Preview (Currently set to off)
Erase Data (On)

There doesn't seem to be a way to turn the passcode lock to off !!!

Anybody ???

strange, there should be a turn passcode off option at the top of the screen when you enter passcode lock in settings. At least there is on mine.

ive not got the 3g one m8 but id have thought it would be an option in the Require Passcode section rather than 15 mins see if theres the option to turn it off in there

I have iphone 3g on FW2.1 and the Turn passcode lock off is at the top of the screen for me.

I guess its a time for a restore to factory settings for you mate.
