looks nice dude. I would lose that tape too. I think if it was the same yellow that was on the bike it would look cool though.

Nice bike. I liked the red/white/blue paint scheme on this bike. I'm glad you opted for this instead of leaping onto something like a fireblade for your 1st bike, like some do. Heard another horror story where someone did this and now has left a window with 2 young children. Such a shame.

Take care bud, and enjoy the bike!

I had one of these in a 2001 in red/white/blue.

Great bike comfortable, i used it to commute 150 miles a day and it was mint. Get used to it and then change the exhaust as that will give a nice performance upgrade and also do the air filter to get a nice race one.

Gives a few more gee gees and makes it sound awesome.

The biggest advantage is that it clears out a couple of flat spots in the rev range, and upto 17,000 rpm is a Looooonnnnnggggg rev range.

Next to that is a power commander where you can map the engine yourself.

But most importantly, do listen to me, pass your test first then build up your confidence and ride safe. I have been written of 3 bikes all not my fault and when my second child was born i decided to hang up my lid...

There are twats in cars everywhere.....

On a lighter note, get some good gear and make sure you get a fog city (hyperoptics) or a foggy mask to stop your visor steaming up.

    Enjoy
    Crash

I gotta to agree with the main comment in all the above. Great bike to start on.

Pass your test and treat all car drivers like they're trying to kill you, hopefully you'll be ready for the prick that is.

I've been biking for 24 years now (ouch that makes me feel old). Had all my crashes before I was 20 (bar one 'hit from behind' which I am happy to explain if anyone is interested)). I now ride the 17 year old ZZR above that gves 172bhp at the back wheel and a quarter mile in under 10 seconds and dispenses with modern sports bikes with ease.
