Have you tried an ismartsim? Search google for ismartsim along with your phone model and look if that phone is tested on it yet.

I have one mate, but for the life of me I couldn't get it to work

I have managed to get it to work in a u600 though.

One I had wouldn't work on my N80 (didn't try for long though, may have be misaligned) but worked first time on a N95. Guess it can be a little hit or miss but more hit than miss.
