Xbox 360 Transferring data from 20GB to 120GB HDD

Is there a straightforward guide to this?

This looks too simple as everyone else goes on about partitions:
    http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=652307

But this just looks like alternative methods of using a WD HDD as a 120GB HDD in your 360:
    http://beta.ivancover.com/wiki/index..._Drive_Upgrade

And this post gets very muddled:

I know there is a migration kit but I do not have one and don't intend on buying one. I don't have a Xecuter HD connectivity kit atm but will have one with my new Lite-on connectivity kit when Rap gets them in. Can I use my VT6421 card and sata cable into the bare HD and Xplorer360?

    Cheers

What data do you want to transfer? I had this same problem once and I ended up buying a 2nd hand memory card from gamestation and using that to copy anything I wanted to keep. Then just re-downloaded all the demos etc..

Just gamesaves and whatever content I have on there, I don't have any copyrighted content AFAIK. I have a memory card too, is it fast and easy?

    Cheers

One of the guys off here sent m a transfer kit, which i used then sent straight back m8.
took about an hour and piss easy to do.

Edit: - sorry, that reads a bit boastful - didn't mean it that way lol. I'm sure someone will have a migration lead and disk knocking about if you ask.

It took me a couple of goes as I only had a 64mb card. But very easy. Just a pain as I only had one console so lots of turning off and changing the hard drives around. Go into your hard drive and look at the sizes of the savegames, you be able to get a rough idea of how much your need to copy.

Right is there a 'select all' function? I cannot see one but this will takes ages to do all the gamesave files one by one!

    Cheers

Was the DRM affected by the mirgation, i.e. did you have to be on live to play your xbl paid-for games?

Not yet mate, the whole partition thing sounds alot of hassle, the migration kit would be perfect but not sure who has one I can borrow

The memory card method was actually taking forever.
