Will we get a receipt from shopneo? Reason I'm asking is one of my friends had to send his ps3 back for repair, and Sony wouldn't touch it unless they had a receipt (even though the ps3 had been out for less than a 6 months in the UK then!) Luckily for him, he managed to find it.

I have sent my ps3 back with no receipt to sony and it was out of warranty, still sent me a refurb out. Also two of my mates sent them back with no receipt no problems.

They don't even ask for a receipt, so long as the console is registered to you there is not a problem sending them back.

What I heard from him was Sony send out a new PS3 by courier and do a straight swap, but he had to show the receipt at that point. I'll ask him again when I see him tomorrow.

I've got a 20GB Jap ps3 which I'm getting rid of, hence me being interested in this deal. Sony are bastards for having region coding on blu-ray. Plus the O and X buttons being swapped pisses me off bigstyle.
