Default Re: How to Get 1080 or 720p MKV files Bluray compliant (UPDATED NOV 2008)

    i have used AVCHDCoderBeta2.23
    with fantastic results.
    works great on ps3 & on other blu-ray players.i have busned to br-25gb , dual layer & standard dvd-r
    link http://tools.twanwintjes.nl/index.php?page=avchdcoder
you need a few tools installed but with them you only use AVCHD coder.
yes they can take upto 20 hours on a dual core 8 gb ram, vista home prem,3.5 tb hard drives, 5600 d/core,liteon blu-ray rom & LG blu-ray writter
    i find the 1080 took longest.720 about 10 hours
perfect every time on any media.
it creates an img to burn to what disc you want.
the software gives choice of cat5, cat9, blu-ray25
my pc will convert & i can still use it to play online or view other movies at the same time
