Default Is my memory stick fried?

    Hi,

my lad was playing f1 - 2006 from his 4gb produo stick when the game disappeared from the stick when viewed on the PSP, though it was still visible when I inserted the card on my card reader.

When I tried to format the card on the PSP, the format failed and when I try to look at it on the card reader it tells me that it isn't formatted. When I try to format using my PC I can only format on FAT32 with a capicity of 32 mb.

Is the card fried, or can I save it somehow - his PSP doesn't even see the card now.

it sounds like u have a fake memorystick. i have had this problem before on non genuine magicgate cards some games jus dont appear on the games list.but as soon as i tried them on a genuine memory card they worked fine. where did you purchase your memory stick from?

another way to check is to go into ur memory stick on your psp (if your memory card will still let you) and press triangle and select information. genuine memory sticks will show magicgate supported. i think only sony and sandisk produce genuine magicgate memorysticks (i might be wrong) but almost all fakes can be checked by using the above method.
