Villa game on on one Tv, fifa09 with boys on the other with my favourite tipple of Jack Daniels ahhh it doesnt get better than that!

Thoughts on last night?

I played CM, CB and then Striker. No guessing what my best position was, which also helped towards our 3/4 match unbeaten run.

Seemed to have a good partnership between me and Warhead, Mr Fuse knocking a few cheeky crosses in as well.

A certain person went at the back when i moved up front and he got MOM in 3 games, think we know his best position

All in all I enjoyed it, but I was stressed to the hills with my little girl crying from 7:45pm until 9:10pm when her mam came in from college. So sorry for the lateness

I think we're improving every week, we've come on leaps and bounds since the first couple of weeks. I think we played better when we changed the formation to 2 CM's instead of the default formation too.

I still think we use the through pass way too much though, we should only use it when the receiver is in loads of space. A normal pass is a lot more accurate and we'd keep the ball more often that way.

Also we don't use the wings to the full potential. We just head towards the bye line and cross the ball in, when theres usually a free player just on the edge of the area for a normal pass. And if a cross does come in, we usually try and head the ball at goal from miles out. If we can nod the ball back across goal or to a player free on the edge of the area then it will usually result in a goal, ive scored plenty like it when playing on my own.

Have to say I enjoyed being back there too. I think I needed a week when I got more into the game to appreciate that I don't overly enjoy being out of defence. I'll stick there for another couple of weeks before i get bored again

Agree that we are getting better, we won 3 or 4 last night I think, which is a big improvement for us. There were still a couple of silly goals conceded where either we weren't getting the ball out of defence quickly enough (I know I was guilty a couple of times) or we were playing passes that were too close to the player we were passing too, and then the player cant pick the ball up, it bounces off. If we can eradicate that we should be ok. I think 2 goals were conceded with "bouncy" passes.

Oh, and next week, can you all shout at me on kick off so I wake up? We conceded a couple of early goals last night, and I was out of position, so apologies.

I dont think there was enough through balls personally, i was clean through so many times and it just got hoofed to the wing.. i think we need to vote on a formation and master it, personally i think 433 is the best with pressure set to 85%

lot of you saying i pressed pass but nothing happens, i direct my pass and hit A before i even have the ball on 99% of my passes

also certain people was demanding the ball of the cpu like all the time (you know who you are) which was causing the cpu to try and hit impossible passes from defence to midfield, often causing the opposition to get the ball in our half.

nice to see people passing in the box to convert easy goals aswell, Fifa is all about passing

deffo getting better as a unit though, was great fun, well done all and thanks

I know when I passed badly it was 100% my doing, holding on to the ball too long. I may have made up some bullshit excuse at the time though, I guess I feel I dont want to let the team down.
