DS TTDS issues

Hey all got my sister a TTDS card for her Daughters DS
Works fine with normal games every time.

Loaded the Firmware and the games on to the TTDS seem to work aright for a bit


Now when the TTDS is in the DS it will not boot get one of the following
A white screen
A faint white screen with the Health and safety stuff and stops
Loading TTDS screen.
Or it will boot fine to the TTDS Menu and all games work fine

So i thought the firmware was the problem so deleted all the Firmware files
and downloaded 1.15 from here

Loaded the firmware on and it still seems to be the same any one got any ideas?

Did you make a folder on the route of the card named ''Games'' or something similar, its not neccaserry (sp) but it does some times help with the problems mentioned

All the firmware and the games are just on the route do you think i should make a folder for the games then?

Its worth a try mate, i bought a dstt for my dads step daughter, it had the same problems and i was told to make a folder and put the games inside that, its still going strong now

you'll probably need to use some paper/thin card and shim the card to make it keep a good contact on the internal connector. It's a known problem on TTDS in particular and some other cards as well.

Made a Games folder still the same.
Wedged some card down the side and still the same

and more ideas?

Yeh good Idea What fileing system ? Fat, Fat32 NTFS?

Try holding the card firmly and bending it slightly. Sorted a couple this way. But its also a reason I don't buy TT's anymore as ive had quite a few with the same problem and needed to take them back. Your best bet is getting a genuine R4 or even better an AceKard 2.

How is that acecard??

I bought 4r4 'deluxes' and 2 TT'ss a couple of weeks ago and both seemt o be a bit.. picky...

The R4 deluxes are copys i think - does dealextreme even sell genuine R4s?

I may buy the acecards(as i need to get another 6 before crimbo) need you opinion - firmware, buggy?

The Acekard 2's load games much faster than the R4s and TTDS's. I've brought a fair few and never had a problem with them. Theres alot more option for the advanced user too, although i never really messed with them. DX used to sell R4's but they stopped, I think they sell them at their sister site, volumerate now. I brought some R4 clones (R4 SDHC) from the computer market last week and they've bricked 2 DS's.
