As above best place to buya cyclo and memory card then?
iPhone 6 baby...
iMac 24", 2.4Ghz, 500GB, 4GB RAM
Macbook Pro 2.4Ghz, 250GB, 4GB RAM
A mate got a cyclo the other day- worked fine and made me want to lose my R4, but, my R4 is built like a tank- just like a DS game, but his cyclo was light as hell and seemed REALLY flimsy. I was even too scared to put the miro sd in it and made him do it, is this the norm?
*EDIT*
Any chance of fitting the innards of a cyclo/acekard2 into an R4 case?

Right, after reading through all the stuff regarding ds cartridge, i have decided to go for the acekard 2, can anyone recomend a site to purchase it from and a site for the sd card to go with it, i found this link on you tube YouTube - acekard 2 walkthrough past 1 is this what i need to format my sd card, sorry for all the questions but not the greatest with this stuff. Thanks all in advance.
anyone have a good site for some 4gig sdhc cards have seen for 7quid was just wondering if anyone knew of any cheaper?
I can vouch for the the DSTT and R4. Have used both and they are both great.

went with 7dayshop in the end £6.49 woohoo.!!!!
Just a couple of quick, and perhaps silly questions. I have recently got a DS lite and was wondering if anyone could let me know what DSTT and R4 actually are. I assume they are devices for storing and playing downloaded DS games?
also how do they work i.e. is modification needed on the DS hardware or firmware?
No modification to the DS is needed. The R4 etc is a card that is the same size as a normal DS game. You put the firmware on a micro SD card, as well as the games you want to play, insert this into in the R4 and then that into the DS and then away you go. With a 2GB card you can get around 40 games on there, maybe more, maybe less as the games are different sizes (8mb, 16mb, 32mb, 64mb, 128mb and 256mb)
and are the all the features of the games left, I am thinking can you still play using nintendo wifi?
Seems like a decent product and one which I may purchase in the near future.
With the masses of second hand NDS's in the shops right now I'm gonna get one for my lad, been looking at the variety of cards out there and just need a quick response on which one is regarded the best and easiest to use by a 5 year old once it has games on.
Also having never used Dealextreme before, they seems to be the cheapest, is it all good stock on there or is there the chance of fake cards.
Cheers

All R4's are clones on there (I think they stopped selling "genuine" 2GB R4's). I myself would never buy a clone again after it bricked my nephews DS, but many others have had no problems at all with them. Id go for the Acekard myself, you might as well go for the Acekardi as they'll work on the DSi too if you ever get one in the future. Many people swear by the TTDS too, I myself have had a few dead ones so stopped getting those.
Expect a couple of weeks delivery time at least with DX though, maybe longer as they're under a DDoS attack at the moment and website keeps going down and back up again.
Cheers, was looking at the AceKard on a uK site earlier, may get one from there, will pay a little more, but at least it stands a good chance of being genuine, and being delivered quickly.

I got my last AceKard2 from focal price, could be a cheaper option for you.
Also found play.com best for 8gb microSD (at 10.70)
Just ordered an AceKard 2i from Aria, was £20 which will do me, and a 4GB Micro SDHC for £3.95.
Now all I need is a NDS, but I thought I'd jump on the card as they had 10 on there for a £10 discount off of their usual price on that site.
