Question Any News on PlayTV future updates

Just wondering if anyone has heard any future rumours for PlayTV and possible release dates?

    Cheers

I scrapped Sky (only had the basic package) and just use PlayTV - works a treat, and the picture looks excellent!

I did mention that the company I work for have something to do with the next version. However I am not sure if that is still on the cards or what the status is.

The talk was about putting in our image enhancing code so it renders on the fly for a clearer picture. In addition Sony are meant to be releasing a feature where you can watch TV from the last 20 years. The only catch is you must watch the adverts and the adverts are rendered in realtime to what your trends are.

I am not sure how far it is and what my company has (if anything anymore) to do with it. I will try and get some more info though.

    There's an update - v1.01

Can't find an official update report as to what it does but it seems to have sorted the problem with the EPG not loading/holding program info... and also reports of recorded programs not skipping as much.

sorry to hijack the thread, but i haven't seen much info on these in the uk

i'm thinking of getting rid of sky as its expensive and tbh we never really watch that much anyway.

the missis doesn't want to lose her soaps etc tho.

how does it compare to sky+? also does it have anything similar to series link?

would you recommend it? anything you don't like about it?

    cheers
