Question Virgin Broadband Wireless router help

    Hi Guys n Gals,

Currently my friend has Virgin Broadband, connecting to a PC via a USB modem. We want to change this to a wireless Router, so a laptop can also be used.

I just happned to have an old Netgear DG834 Router from when i had sky b-band, this I understood was locked so ive reflashed the bios with genuine Netgear 1.02.16.

Before I go in there and attempt setting this up, can anyone see any problems I might have? Any pointers? no experience with Virgin Broadband here.... but surley wont be that hard....lol

    Cheers

    Is his virgin through cable?
I think your gonna need a Cable router and not an ADSL router. Not my area of expertise tho so someone else might know better.
If nature always takes the easiest route, what's easier...?
The creation of billions of galaxies each containing trillions of stars each with their own solar systems, some with planets that have evolved civilisations with billions of different life forms. OR The creation of just your imagination?

Sorry guys, i should of been a little clearer with this one.... Thought i had by saying "Virgin Broadband" in my post and no mention of Virgin Cable.....

It was just a standard ADSL Broadband supply from Virgin i was talking about. Anyways, just for a heads up, I flashed the box with the correct Netgear bios, this cleared off all the old Bios inc all sky details.... the Router then bacame a standard router where i could enter the User / Pass of the account required.....and works well.

Thanks for the effort / pointers tho guys...
