Samsung P180

Got a friend here with a Samsung P180,and he has lost the manual, and cant remember the pin code to switch it on,I presume it is the default one, as he hasnt got the brains to change it.
Anyone got a clue as to what it is.I also presume it is the phone pin as he bought it in France and it has a French sim,so it could even be a Pin for that,and if its the later then he will have to go back to France and find his Book.
Any help would be grand.
