Have to add I am really enjoying Dead Space as well. I got to the final boss (I think!) last night, but couldn't kill him after a couple of goes so went to bed - can't wait to pick it up later and have another go at killing the bastard!

As this list is based on individuals...(and in no order)

1. PES 2009 - I know it is a let down but it STILL has the most hours played between me and mates in multiplayer.
2. FIFA 09 - Wasn`t expecting much and was a big suprise when it was released, can`t wait for next one.
3. Dead Space - Completed it 3 times in a week, not done that with a game for years!
4. Mirrors Edge - Nice and relaxing, no other game like it.
5. RB / GH games, always entertaining.

Can`t wait for Alan Wake (if they don`t fuck it up!)

Gears of War 2 had me hooked from start to finish. Really enjoyed it, once of the few games I have completed and then started again.

I can't really say Gears 2 or COD5 are worthy of the title for game of the year. They are far too similar to the previous efforts.

COD5 in multiplayer is just like an expansion pack to COD4 rather than a new game, and Gears, although i loved it, was too similar also, Horde was a great addition though.

Number one for me is Fallout 3, it was excellent, then GOW2 I fucking love that game

I enjoyed Gears2, thought it was an excellent game, but it lacked the same atmosphere as before which is why I didn't include it. My fave moment in Gears1 was meeting the Berserker the second time in the atrium, and there just didn't seem to be any moments quite like that this time through. Great game, but not game of the year for me

Mirrors Edge - enjoyed it. Thought there were too many frustrating points where I repeated the same trick over and over, or I couldn't figure out where in hell to go, but I think there is huge potential in the game, the pure running / jumping bits are fantastic.

Yeah, i know exactly what you mean. Me and my mate that went through it on co-op were really disappointed there were no berserkers.

They were great, and scary!!

hmm i wasn't going to bother getting fallout 3, but after those reviews i might grab it.
Not sure for me - COD5 hasn't grabbed me in the same way cod4 did, and i need to play GOW2 online to see what else it has to offer. Both SP campaigns were too short IMO.

I'm off to investigate dead space as well now.....
