    Question TFT Bracket Fixings

    Hi Peeps

I'm looking for some feedback .

I need to mount my TFT 40" to a thermalite, breeze-block wall (6") (the TFT weight 20.5kg). My thoughts are to mount the bracket to the wall using chemical fixings possibly m8??? The last thing I want is the TFT to fall and hurt someone, has anyone done this or can they recommend an alternative method of fixing?

Worse case, I'll build a stud wall to the original wall and fix into the timbers and ply....

I look forward to your thoughts.

    Cheers

Is the wall bare breeze block or covered with plasterboard and a small gap between?

If it is then these are suposed to be the dogs dangilies as the weight is in the breeze block and not on the plasterboard.

I put a 32" on the wall before christmas and just uses some fisher raw plugs and coach bolts but that was in to brick.

    Hi Peeps,

Thanks for the comments. It sounds as if my solution of using chem fixings and M8 bolts was a little over kill.

Thanks for the link and info, no plasterboard just plastered finish. Like the look of your fixings.

I presume that you used a screw and no bolts? If so what's the weight of your TV?

    BBL
I was a little worried about using anchor bolts as these could crumble the block as this is light weight. What's the weight of your TV?

    Cheers again

    Hi Peeps,

Just a quick update, I've ordered this bracket and found their costs reasonable for my needs as I can collect so thought I would post their details HERE.

I'm also going to use BBL's method of fixings.

    Thanks your posts.
