Yes definitely. It covers a whole range of things. Some of themuscle excersises and yoga stuff wouldn't be suitable but they would get a lot of fun out of all the balance and aerobic games. So yes would totally recommend it - I know a 5 year old who loves it!
I agree with the previus poster. My girls are 7 and 5, and they both like to play on it, but the Yoga game modes are indeed rubbish and don't interest them in the slightest. My 5 year old, funnily enough, loves the jogging game, where the board isnt required, but my older one likes the dance mat sort of game, the hula hoop one, and the ski jump.
One concern I did have is that the software told both of them they were overweight, and there is no way whatsoever they are, and the 7 year old was quite upset to hear it !
Spot on. My almost 9 and 6 year olds love to play on it, but get disappointed when it tells them they are overweight - and my two take after their mother and are as skinny as you like. And of course, kids that age should be putting on weight not losing it. But they do love the games, my eldest has our high score for ski jumping
cheers for the advice lads.
heard it was telling kids they were overweight elsewhere though aswell. is this common?
wouldnt like it telling them there overweight everytime they play it

Only if they do the body test - you can skip it (but it does moan at you if you do too often )
Yep it can tell them there overweight or under because it works on BMI that uses a typical weight to height ration and for children the really isnt a typical ratio because they are all developing at different rates.
Balacing games are fairly fun and also they seem to enjoy the running but that isnt using the balance board
cheers for the advice folks. thats one present off the list

My youngest has discovered that the range of the wiimote is quite long, so on the jogging game, she now goes off running round the house, which is quite amusing.....or it is until she falls down the stairs.
Just to add just got raman raving rabbids and thats a very good game for kids that uses the wii balance board
Family Ski also uses the Wii Fit board. Not tried it myself but it looks interesting. Reviews weren't the best for it though :-\

Bit late to this but both my girls (8+5) love the Wii.
We have the Wii Fit and they are both pretty good on it. Oldest one has unlocked everything on there and she's quite proud of that for some reason!!
Youngest too loves the jogging one and she is off all around the front room too!
Both are within the weight range btw.
I wouldn't go that far, it's not that bad!!chrismaher2007 - cheers for the advice folks. thats one present off the list
Anyhow, go and get it, the kids will love it, mine do and all their mates who come around to play on it do.
