downgrade to 3.2 help

hi guys

i get too using IOS Downgrader and i get an error.

Error (ret= -1) It happened when it tries to download the tickets from the net

i have the wii connected with ethernet and IOS Downgrader does find an IP address, internet working

any ideas why this is happening?

I ran this earlier this week and I definately recall it returning an error on one of the install sections but I carried on regardless and it still worked.

Im not saying you should do this, but it did work for me.

u need to delete iso249 m8 then it will work---i have a wii folder here thats bloody perfect but don,t know how upload it to ya unless u got msn and i can send that way

just a quick update, tried this about 10 times keep getting this error:



have tried ethernet and wireless connections, still no go.

the wii i have is ver 3.3E PAL and using the_homebrew_channel-beta_8

i do however have wiikey 2 modchip installed aswell , will this make any difference? i just installed homebrew to downgrade the firmware.

Have u tried updating your homebrew channel to v.9 ?

Biggy i used the tut you linked to with the download pack in the link and mine downgraded no probs this afternoon.

i have a feeling it may have something to do with the update blocker that wiikey 2 has enabled by default, what ya think?

You probably already know this, just trying to help - If it is the wiikey update blocker you can turn this off using the wiikey config.iso

IS there any reason why I cannot install the cracked upadte 3.3u on a wii with firmware version 3.3e installed? Do I have to downgrade - will it brick my wii if i try to upgrade to 3.3u?

Is there any reason why you would want to try and install USA firmware on a European Wii? why not just use the correct firmware for your machine?

The Euro Wii's will play almost all of the USA/NTSC games anyway with a modchip and apparently not much fewer using the iso loader - no reason I can think of to risk bricking your machine

Its the cracked update version to give the new shopping channel but still allows the Homebrew and Backup channel to work.

I can't seem to downgrade the firmware to version 3.2 after stage 7, i load AnyRegion Changer and it loads with an Error, if I press 1 or A it goes back to the menu... is there any reason why this is happening?

Also what will happen if I install the Backup Channel on 3.3e, will it brick the wii or just not work properly?

You can download the cracked 3.3 ios as i dont think these are region coded and get the channels to work. (not done it myself but read that it works.).

So are you saying I should be able to just install the Update_3.3u_Fix onver the 3.3e without the need to downgrade?

Ok I desperately need some help, when I load the AnyRegion Changer I get this:

Identifying as SU...OK!
Initializing Filesystem driver...OK!
Init SYSCONF...OK!
Error getting settings! 1, 2, 2, 1, -24578

Why is this happening?

Will the Backup Channel install on the system menu 3.3e without any problems? or do I have to downgrade?

Panic over - its all because the User Agreement wasn't accepted... which can be found under Settings, Internet, Agreements...

That should be in the tutorial's....
