I will gladly become a V.I.P of someone can solve my Itunes Syncing Problem.
When I Try and sync to my 80gig Ipod from Itunes It freezes during the Sync and freezes itunes.
Sometimes it will manage to sync a GIG or so of music. But it stops it then stops and freezes. There is no particular track that it freezes on.
Ill then have to ctrl-alt-del to try again.
When I try again it will stop at a different point in the syncing process and this appears to vary each time it freezes.
I’m running Vista on a new laptop and the ipod has been used previously on a mac mini and another p.c without problems.
The Ipod plays any music that does manage to sync
I have tried the following;
Using different USB Ports to connect the ipod
Re installing itunes to the latest version
Installing an older version of itunes
Reinstalling Ipod Software
Reformating The ipod via windows and itunes
The samething happens on another P.c running xp that has not been used before.
Changed the file locations for the downloaded music from c to d and even to an external hd
Changed users
Disabled and enabled anti virus
Stopped other programmes running at the same time
Shouting at it and drinking more booze
…. And nothing is appears to work
I would really be gratefull if someone more competent could help !
