Cheers guys, took 5 hours. My calf is still swollen and sore, it's been fun trying to sleep
Excellent bit of work there.
i cant imagine why shes not too pleased, you sticking with colourful leg ink then? looks like after the hellboy you had done that was coloured youve got a taste for it
I'd like to get more coloured work, my recovery tages too long. A black and grey piece whatever the size will heal within 5 days. Coloured work takes up to 3 weeks on me, this hinders me at work. Not sure what to do next...
its years since i had any colour done and didnt really notice if it took any longer to recover m8 are both your coloured ones on the same leg?
Nope, today I have started using Bepanthen instead to aid the healing instead of the tried and tested E45. This has brought the bruising out around the tattoo. Still very sore and very painful when I walk. I just have to suck it up until it heals.
My calf tattoo (coloured) took 3-4 weeks to heal, had to get Anti-biotics from the quacks to bring the swelling down on it aswell, fook me it was sore to walk ...lol
loving the zombie aswell m8
Did it hold the colour ok once finished? Looking at mine now, the scabs have gone soggy and it is oozing. Locks sick and infected.
personally ive had no luck with bepanthan, i stuck to savlon although i have tried that one you get for piles (cant remember its name something v i think) and that was great no scabs what so ever
but i love the smell of savlon
I'm not using it again, it gave my the same problem as Tattoo Goo. E45 is a winner for black and grey, no problems at all. I'm mulling over getting any more colour work, I want to sleeve in the whole leg but am thinking about black, grey and some light coloured shading.
never used tattoo goo, but bepanthan made mine swell and go a bit slimy/weepy like a wet scab and i thought it'd get infected so i gave up on it and went back to savlon,
Nice tattoo, i used to use savlon and E45 on mine as i had a bad reaction to bepanthen a few years back. Now with my recent work i have switched back bepanthen and it seems ok. I'll get some pics uploaded of my recent addition some time today.
I'm debating washing the whole bloody thing off and hoping for the best. It looks shit and is going to need alot of touch up's. Should have carried on with my backpiece instead of pissing around getting something new. Lesson learned!
if it was me id give it a wash dont pick at it and let it air dry then go back to what you know m8 i did and mine didnt lose any vibrance (in my opintion)
I used preparation H on my tattoo, turned out well, took the swelling down, not a lot of leaking, and hardly any scabbing
