Default The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

I expected so much more.... the book has loads of fighting so I was expecting a CGI fest but alas no.

All the origional cast are back but all looking like moody oily teenagers (apart from the youngest of course) who get transported back when Susan's horn is blown by Prince Caspien in his moment of need.

Essentially it is 1000+ years on from the 1st film and Narnia is now a myth as Human's have taken over and killed or driven all the talking animals into the forest. Prince Caspien is due to be King but his uncle tries to kill him when his wife has a son. He escapes and run into the forest - I dont think it is rocket science to figure out the rest.

The film sticks close enough to the book but I just felt a little let down with it. The first film was very good and this does not live up to it, although Im sure this will still be a blockbuster. I didnt get any empathy with the new characters, in fact they bored me....

At well over 2 hours I would wait until you can see it at home as it wont keep your interest.

The ice queen makes an all too brief appearance which would put some life into the story

    Thoroughly disappointed by this.

The fights were pretty good, but some of the CGI wasn't quite up to scratch.

I just couldn't understand what was at stake in this film. Who is Prince Caspian? Who is his uncle? What are they fighting about? etc

The whole innocence of the 4 kids was gone - their only real role in the film was as military strategists, and it didn't really work for me.

Dunno....there was just something wrong with this film....

    Shooooooo-ryuken!
