Default My new toy.. not a camera part.. a Car ! :o))

So, a while back I hinted about a new toy I was getting.

Anyway, I went and bought a brand new Seat Leon Cupra K1... 240 horses of pure fun !

So last night, I headed out into the fog to take a few shots. I will get some in the day time at some point but I want to get out somewhere decent to do them. Anyway, here ya go. I have attempted to clone out the number plate for the front grill. It's not perfect but I didn't do too bad
The Kit / Exhaust are all factory standard as well

Darn those finger marks on the boot release

There is fuel in it, I just hadn't switch to Ignition 2

This last shot I'm posting because whilst I was taking the shots of my car, I heard a rustling behind me. Expecting to be thumped over the head or worse, I turned very quickly, tripod in hand ready to swing for whoever it was. Anyway, this little guy (or gal, not sure) was stood watching me, nose twitching away. Anyway over a period of around 30 minutes, the fox circled me about 14 or 15, going behind a couple of hedgerows times getting a little closer each time . He/she was probably just wondering whether I had anything to eat. It made no indication of wanting a piece of me.. lolol. As I didn't want to use flash (effective range made it useless anyway), I tried waiting until it stopped for a short while to leave the shutter open a little. Got a somewhat blurred picture of it though

Some great shots there. The darkness and gloominess make it look even more of a beast!

Very nice indeed mate, been a big Seat fan for a while now and had four myself.

Recently sold mines right enough for a VW Passat instead, you should join SCN (www.seatcupra.net) there are a lot of good guys on there.

Leo, yeah I'll go back when it's not foggy for more shots with lights on. Was tough because despite it not looking like there's not much fog there, it was more than you think and it really was spreading the light out

LOL Pete, thanks mate. Yeah the fox shot was never meant to be a good shot . The darn thing kept circling me and that shot there was a very brief moment were it stayed still. I had to swing the camera round and because it was probably about 25 ft away, flash was not an option so I had to attempt long exposure to simply capture it (could have gone high ISO but either or really ).

Pity because I would have loved to have got a good capture of it.

That said, we see foxes every week around here so I'm sure I can sit off waiting one night when I get my speedlite for xmas

I have more shots of the trees etc which I'll put up later.

Some really good shots of the car and it makes a big difference with the number plate cloned out...much more aggressive looking.

I wish I could get some good shots of mine. I think I have realised that I couldn't take a decent picture of it to save my life.

You can!!!! Some really good shots of the car there. Simply go out with your own car and do the same!!! Use these pictures as inspiration and go out and try. Experiment with different settings and that, see what you end up with.

I used to do that when I first started taking pictures hundreds of years ago! Simply looked at the photography magazines and if I seen a picture I liked I would go out and do the same thing. Eventually I started to look at things from my own perspective and started taking some good shots off my own back and haven't looked back since!!

Great pictures by the way mate.

Great shots, trippy car Ian... I'm envious, I really am. And if I didn't have a wife forcing me to spend all my money on her, I'd buy a third car....

Methinks you need to take a drive to Newcastle in it now... Before xmas

LOL, well, I could do with putting a few more miles on it for sure to get it fully run in, only has a few hundred on it at the moment and well, ya know gotta be careful with new cars.. can't wait until it's fully run in properly so I can play with those 240 Horses properly .

I have a week off work from the 15th so will see about heading up around then

Hope you don't mind me posting these in your thread mate?

Took this one last week trying to be arty farty with the ship through the spoiler. Did some adjusting in photoshop. Probably spoilt it.

This is an earlier one which doesn't look too bad.
