I wouldn't rave about it but it is better.

I have my sky box connect via scart and hdmi as my tele doesn't automatically go to hdmi after being switched on, this keeps things nice and easy for the girlfriend! I do notice the difference and do switch to hdmi every time.

Sorry to hijack this thread however this has got me thinking. If i bought a sky HD box, can i use it as a PVR without paying the sky 10 quid a month subscription and receive all the free HD channels?

I already have a sky+ box and would rip that out and replace it with this one. I have a sky multichannel subscription so i assume that sky would pair it up to the new box.

Yeah I just phoned sky and they paired my 2nd hand HD box with my card. They initially told me I had to pay the £10 a month as it was a HD box. I told them to fuck off as I bought the box elsewhere and I'm not under contract with them to take out the HD sub. 30 mins later I was able to record using the HD box.
